The Club Vela Blanes is formalizing the inscriptions of the sailors that will participate in the Womens Europeans Championship for the Yngling olympic class, that will be disputed of the 30 th March to the 5 th April in the waters of regatas of Blanes.

 

Almost all the international fleet that is preparing for the Olympic Games of Beijing 2008, where the Olympic Regata in waters will become of Qingdao, have intention to participate in this European championship, since that forms part of the training tests and completion of material and crews, of face the Olympic Regata.

 

Had east factor, the European Championship is Open to crews of other countries, that will be in Blanes during this championship. The championship of Europe is the third more important sport event of the class, after the JJ.OO. and of the -world championship-.

 

The Yngling class has much pursuit in Nordic European and Scandinavian  countries, reason why there will be crews of these countries that will participate in the European.

 

It is possible to emphasize that the crews of Germany, Holland, Great Britain, Spain and Russia already have confirmed their participation. Also they are confirmed the one of other continents like the United States, Sudafrica, Australia and China. It is probable that crews of France, Greece participate, Norway, Italy, Canada, and Denmark. To the Olympic Games 15 boats only can participate. The European, to the being an opened championship, anticipates an inscription of 25 boats. Two Spanish crews will be in the championship, the Olympic crew who will represent the COE to the Games of Beijing, formed by Mňnica Azón, Sandra Azón and Graciela Pisonero, twice champions of the world and champions of Europe. And the equipment ledered by the catalan Sílvia Roca, with Eva González and Lara Cacabelos.

 

Next day 18 of March in Club Vela Blanes Candle will be made to the presentation of this European championship of the Olympic class Yngling.
